Thanks a lot dr.shiakh.
I used only norfloxcin tininadazole as the motions were not severe, and they stop in one day.I have not called any veternarian as they charges me near about 200rs and injects two to three injections, which would be very painful for my goat.Your suggestion has saved my money as the bolus costs me 10rs and electrolyte powder 15rs only.I m really very thankful to you,you are doing a great job to severe humanity.Once agian thanks a ton and please continue your work as people like me and lots of other goat farmers really needs you.

In 3 acres of land,if it is highly fertile with adequate supply of water for cultivation of crops, you can breed 100 female goats and its kids.
Kidding percentage is less in barbari as compare to pureline osmanabadi.pueline Osmanabadi goat gives multiple kidding as compare to barbari and yields kids two times in a year.Osmanabadi goat breed is best as it gets easily accommodate to Andhrapradesh's climatic condition, has lean meat(less percentage of fat) as compare to barbari, has vast demand in local markets.Eats any green fodder, whereas barbari requires most of the dry fodder which further increases your per day feeding cost.Has high resistant power against diseases.
If you want to breed osmanabadi goats, breed with pureline variety as in hyderabad peoples are selling hybrid, mixed variety in the name of osmanabadi goats, which will not provide the results as mention above.

Presently Blue tongue has become common in Indian goats,it is more frequent in sheeps rather than goats.it is a viral disease and mainly spreads due to biting of midges(insects). It is a non contagious disease, means it wont spread from one animal to another with their contacts to each other. It only spreads by biting midges.
The main symptoms in affected goats includes thickening of tongue with blue or blue black colour, diarrhea, loss of appetite, nasal discharge, liquid discharge from eyes. Some of the affected goats shows few symptoms while some other shows all.
For your deep knowledge-P.P.R affected goats,FMD goats and Blue tongue has nearly same symptoms and the treatment for these three is different. So when you say your goat is affected by blue tongue, you must have to confirm it whether it is blue tongue,FMD or P.P.R only after this a right medicine can be given to goats. If your goat is suffering from P.P.R and you provide the treatment(medicines) of blue tongue to goats,it will not work and soon their will be mortality in goats.Sometimes even a veterinarian confuses between the symptoms and fails to diagnose the right disease. So in severe cases it requires an expert, who have a lot of Practical and medicine knowledge in goats. If right medicines are provided to goats, goats gets recovered and healthier within 3 days.

Dear Ubaid,
Our Indian goat industry is presently dependent on meat and not milk,so it is always profitable to breed the goats for meat and not milk.Goat Meat prices are 10 times higher as compare to that of Goat milk. The whole milk of goats is required for their kids for proper development of their body.If you wont supply full mother's milk to kids, the growth will be retarded as comp[are to other kids to whom full(whole) mothers milk is supplied.More the milk to kids, more will be the growth in them and they will attain slaughtering age in shorted duration as compare to those kids to whom whole milk is not supplied.
Foreign industries are dependent on milk and meat, they have developed breeds like toggenburg and saanen who can provide 15-20liters of milk per day, whereas as Indian goats can provide you maximum of 1-5 liters of milk per day(24hrs),depending on type of goat breed.
Sirohi is the native breed of Rajasthan and jamunapari is native of U.P,so to buy pureline sirohi and jamunapari goats you have to purchase these goats from their native places, although transportation is costlier but it is always safe to buy pureline variety from their respective native(origin) place.

Broiler goat farming is a new concept of modern goat farming. In this method more amount of concentrated fodder is feded to goats,to achieve more weight gain in lesser time.More details about broiler goat farming is given in my project report.
yes broiler goat farming is profitable for commercial goat farmers and for small scale farmers breeding less than 10 goats.he reason behind this is very vast,so it can be written here, you have to consult about this with any goat farm expert. It requires at least one to two hours to explain the process of profitability, its advantages and disadvantages too.It can be explained properly in 3-4 times,to earn deep knowledge you have to consult with specialists.

Indian human population is increasing very rapidly day by day,to meet the protein requirement of this increasing population goat meat plays an important role.To achieve the protein food(goat meat) in lesser time to fulfill the need of population, will be achieved through broiler goat farming.

Dear Dr Shaikh
Thanks a lot for such detailed information on goatary. I want to ask following questions:
1. If this is possible achieve good reproductive and weight growth of goats (osmanabadi or any other breed) on range feeding exclusively without giving them any concentrates.
2. How much land will be required for 100 goats if i want to range feed them exclusively.
3. In garhwal, uttarakhand, I've my land with lots of random vegetation, can i use this land for goat grazing and browsing or do i need to grow specific fodder for their better growth.
4. If I'm doing range feeding exclusively, what are the necessary supplements I should provide them

Regards

Aziz Khan
