Hi,
i want information on cold storage facilities in terms of how to operate it, what things have to kept in mind before starting cold storage facility & what is the scope of this service in india?

here is Ca. Manoj singh from agra. I am dealing in cold storage finance, setup, subsidy, etc. In uttar pradesh. I am dealing in cold storage since 1999 when cent. Govt started subsidy through nhb and nabard. Uptill last year the subsidy was 25% of project cost or rs. 50.00 lac whichever is less. Now from this year it is enhanced to 1.20crore.

This is a new and upcoming field of investment with high returns.Controlled Atmospheric cold storages can increase the shelf life of fruits and vegetables from 2 to 8 months based on their various properties.C A stores get a subsidy of 40 % from National Horticultural mission and national horticultural Board based on their capacity and technology.Because of the importance of this technology and its implementation only the G O I has increase the subsidy to 40%.
