This is to inform youn that, the best place for orchid is the north-eatern part of India, which you also mentioned. To detail out, I would like to tell you that Orchids are native to the seven sister states (Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura & Arunachal) It is also abundant in these 7 states. For an example, I would like to convey you that Mizoram holds the record of producing the biggest ever orchid in the world. The soil condition in these 7 states are entirely different from the rest of the country and this same soil type extends to Burma & Thailand also, therefore Orchid grows well in those 2 countries also.
