| Dejan Zdravkovic | Hi Mr.Benal, I am interested in Your way of producing shiitake mushrooms. Sory about my bad English. I have very small farm of oyster and shiitake mushrooms. In my small and poor country (Serbia) this mushroom become interested in couple past years as healthy food. Now I bay ready substratum from substratum makers, but them do not give any garanties and often my production is very low, beacause of low quality of substratum. That reasons force me to start makeing my own substratum. I am very interested about willow tree as supstrate for shiitake mushroom. Are any kind of willow tree sutable for growing mushrooms_. Shoud I milling tree, and adding mycelium in clean bags or drilling holes in tree log and putting it in it. Does it need any chemistry for sterilization or pasterization in case of fresh willow tree.
