Which agricultural product gives more return?

Dear All,

We have a 60 acres farm house in Angul District(Orissa) since 8 yrs with mainly mango and teak wood plantations. We are left with around 10 acres of open land.
Can any one please suggest me, which crop can we plant for better returns and what is the right way to plant it.
Currently we have done banana plantation of 6000 tissue culture plants with and without drip irrigation.

You can continue growing bananas, they are profitable too, or you can start cultivating vegetables.

Wth the description of land available, you can easily grow Patchouli not only in open land but also as in intercrop with Mango.
If the land is sandy: go for Vetiver ( Khus)

Vettiver(Khus-khus) cultivation

Now a days vettiver (khus) cultivation is very good medicinal crop.we not worry about the soil condition.Even if ph is more the vettiver will grow in good manner.the vettiver is a soil conservation plants.And after one to one and half year some assured income will be there .for example one requires nearly 40 to 50 thousand slips .The standard recommanded spacing will be 1'x1'.The yield will be minimum 150gram per slip and maximum 250 grams per slip.
So we are expecting the yield after one year will be 40000x.15kg = 6000 kgs.Now present market rate is Rs 60 /- per kilo.So total yield is Rs 360000/-per acre.The total expenditure per acre will be maximum Rs 150000/-.No inorganic fertiliser & pestcide will not required.Only farmyard manure or vermi compost will be enough for vettiver.No crop failure will not occured in vettiver like due to more rains and drought .Its very suitable for intercrop for coconut gardens.The vettiver is very demandable in the markets.This can be used for aroma oil extraction ,ayurvedic medicine purpose,cosmetics,In summer season this vettiver are to be used for curtains in the office aswellas in the houses.Now the aircooler companies are using the vettiver inside of the air collers.we are having good quality & high yield vettiver slips are availiable with us.
