please provide me an information of backyard poultry/ other poultry farming in rural areas, technical details, infrastructure required, investement needed,
what are the government schemem if any,
in karnataka,
perticu;arly for country chicken/giriraja/vanaraja chicken farming

Dear Dharma,

Backyard poultry farming in rural areas is instant money making way.
No technicals required to grow them except providing food shelter and water.
Investment will be decided on number of birds to be grown.

Please do not expect subsidy from Government.
Growing country chicken/giriraja/vanaraja chicken farming will give you good returns. Chicks can be purchase from Veterinary department in your Taluk or District and also you can buy them from farmers.
Country chicken sale value for 1kg live bird may cost you about rs.160/-but it can varies.

thank you for the information given,
if i can get some more detailed information for about 100 birds in one batch
to be delivered fortnightly(15 days once) to the market for such three batches say for 300 birds whta will be the area requirement, htype of shed required , cost involved etc will be helpfull to mme.
