Job Profile:
1. Establishment and management of farms starting with headquarter at Jabalpur of sizes 200 acres to 400 acre.
2. To supervise cultivation of colored CAPSICUM, TOMATO and other Horticulture crops like Banana, Papaya, Pomegranate etc, Agro Forestry plants like Teak, Bamboo etc and Intercrops like Toor, Soya bean etc.
3. To Plan and direct intercultural and other agriculture operations Ploughing, sowing, Fertigation, Drip irrigation, weeding, harvesting etc.
4. To supervise and train multiple Farm Supervisors/Executives, Nursery in-charges of different Blocks and plan expansion of the farm.
5. To select and assist in procurement of Farm Machinery, tools and Implements such as Tractors, power Tillers, MB Plough, Cultivator, and ensure proper utilization and maintenance of such Capital Assets.
6. To introduce Good agricultural practices, record & disseminate them amongst Farm Executives/supervisors in order to increase the production and quality.
7. To look after administrative, personnel, Labour issues and ensure all legal compliance.
8. To prepare Budgets. Monitor, and control actual costs versus Budgets


High Prospects of growth as 50 acre pommegranate, tomato, sugarcane each already planted and 150 acres to be covered by september 2011. Phase II and Phase III of 300 acres and 180 acres already planned for 2011 end.

Key requirements:

A)Bsc and Msc agriculture, horticulture with practical farm experience of minimum 5 years in commercial cultivation of above said crops.

B)Scientist Phd specialising in Capsicum, Pomegranate, Tomato and Papaya will be given preference for consultant/full time position in the company.

Farm Operations
 Establishment and management (Operational, administrative and commercial management) of Cluster of farm units’ up-to total aggregate area 284 acres.
 Looking after new plantation of Sandal/Amla/Pomo at Seoni, M.P. planted in 284 Acre of DS Green Agrotech (Diversification of DS group in Agriculture field).
 Managing the entire plantation and all related aspects at Seoni as Site-in-charge.
 Planning and directing intercultural and other agriculture operations viz. Ploughing, sowing, Fertigation, Drip irrigation, weeding, harvesting etc. and identifying and introducing intercrops relating to Food Grains, Pulses, Oilseeds and fruit crops to maximize commercial returns from intercrops.
 To introduce Good agricultural practices, record & disseminate them amongst Farm Executives/supervisors in order to increase the production and quality.
 Responsible for post-harvesting care, packing, storage and sale of intercrops and Horticulture produce. Also deal with Sales and Mandi yard related matters including invoicing, VAT etc.
Nursery Management
 Responsible for establishment of Sandalwood nursery of 2 Lacs plants in FY 2010-11.
 Responsible for selection and purchase of poly house, shade nets, root trainers, poly-bags, other hardware and consumables required for nursery.
 Responsible for deploying and training nursery labour for media preparation, bed preparation, planting, transplanting, etc.
 Responsible for cost control and commercial output of nursery.
 Also responsible for registration of nursery with State Horticulture Department, NHB and for arranging subsidies wherever applicable.
 Selecting plus tree and qualitative seedling for nursery raising.
Administration

 Identifying, developing & maintaining local / overseas vendor base for obtaining timely & cost effective procurement of materials at favorable terms to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
 Inviting offers from vendors / contractors as per BOQ, evaluating techno-commercially and awarding purchase orders / work contracts after negotiation on IMIS Module.
Vendor Development & Materials Management
 Preparing Annual Rate Contracts with vendors for stackable items & timely renewal of contracts after review.
 Interfacing with the suppliers, negotiating the rates, releasing P.O. terms & conditions, handling material verification and further inspecting the goods.
