Hi, I m an engineer. I want to buy agricultural land in Maharashtra. Can anybody tell me what is the procedure to buy agricultural land as I m not farmer??

You need to be a farmer to be able to buy agriculture land in Maharashtra. This means you or your parents should hold farm land in Maharashtra. If you don't have any farm land, you may buy one in MP or Rajasthan and become a farmer. One doesn't need to be a farmer to buy farm land in MP or Rajasthan.

It is essential to have government certificate i.e.7/12 which indicates that you or your parents are/were farmers. Similarly tell me the area and budget or area required.
