Tree plantations advice

Hi Experts,

I have around 28 acres of Land near Zahirabad (80 Km from Hyderabad), and I am interested in farming trees in 10 acres of land. The land split is around 8 acres of red soil and another 20 being black (ragadi) soil. Now I am interested in farming trees, which require less attention once planted, and also where the yeilding is good. I am confused which variety would be good and I can wait for few years for the first yield. Basically the returns on land is not good, wanted to plant some trees to make it more benificial. Water facility is there but I am not keen as I cannot spend much time looking after the contineous maintainence.



Please advice me on what can I plant and forget for sometime (open to basic maintainence)

the best suggestions you would get from the nearest forestry department. THe forest officer will guide you and they also have nursery where you can select the saplings.

Go for Hebbeavu

Hebbeavu trees are one of the fastest growing trees which are used in plywood industry, you can cut tree after 6-8 years which can fetch upto 1 lakh per acre per year. spacing 10' x 10'
