Hi Experts,

We have some black clay soil land, which used to be used for cotton & chick peas in the past, which was too much work with not much of returns.

Since the water for the neighbors well were all salty, we didn't bother trying it.

What would be a good use for land of this type?

Thanks in advance.

Dear sir,
provide proper draining , apply organic mannure to improve soil texture, grow green mannure crops and cultivate crops which are suitable clay soil.like chick pea,red gram etc

Thanks for your response. We tried chick peas before but it didn't really break even, with all the effort and money spent.

Any good trees recommended for Black Clay soil? Coconut didn't workout because of salty water
