Submersible Pump Information

Hi,
I am planning to do drip irrigation in 5 acre farm.Now the issue is I am trying my hand in farming for the first time so need some information.

1) I am taking land on lease and owner has agreed to put a bore and give the land but what about submersible pump?What is gerenal norm?Does owner also put the pump?

2)If I have to put the Submersible Pump what will be the cost and how to select it.

First check the availability of water, how many hour it can run, if the water is less sub motor is not advisable go for compresser,, if you have sound water check the size of the bore and the depth of the water source and the distance has to be pumped, are you planning to go for water storage and then irrigating to the field, there are to many things are required to suggest. better consult with the local dealer of the sub motor who will advice you.

If you have any doupt about the water source go for test, normally the ship keeper who deals with the electric motor will help and charges some amount for the test

Hi KUmar,
Initially to start with farming you need to check the water availability in your farm, source of water, how long will you be able to use the same source and what is the level of water. Knowing these parameters you can approach a drip irrigation consultant, who will guide you as to which motor is suitable for your land.
Regarding the installation of motor, either you can do it or your owner depends on what terms and conditions you both have entered into.
