Solar Pump Sets - Is it worth buying?

Hello,

Can anyone share your experiences of using Solar Pump Sets in your agriculture lands?

Offlate I have seen several ads, but not sure if is really worth buying and whether it is a reliable system.

Does it lift water from 200 feet or just limited to 100 feet?

In the long run do we need to shell out a lot on maintenance?

If it's really good, which brand works well?

Hi,

Solar pumps are more reliable than grid connected AC pumps. The quality and reliability of grid supply/SEB supply is not good causing frequent burning of windings in the AC motors. Situation will be worse in the coming years. Solar DC submersible pumps operate in the day time wherein you get water when it is needed in the fields, resulting in Proper utilization of labour in the fields, thereby saving the labour charges. We have solar submersible DC pumps pumping water from the depths of 300 feet and discharging ~ 30000 lpday with average of 8 hours of operation per day.
