Arsenic Testing Kit

Arsenic dissolved in water is acutely toxic and can lead to a number of health problems. Long term exposure in excess of 50 ppb causes increased risks of cancer of skin, lungs, bladder and kidney. It also causes skin pigmentation and skin thickening, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, numbness in hands and feet, partial paralysis, and blindness. It can also lead to disturbance of the cardio vascular and nervous system functions and can eventually lead to death. The symptoms caused by chronic arsenic ingestion are collectively known as “arsenicosis”.
Arsenic in drinking water is known as the silent and slow killer as its presence is not revealed by taste, odour or colour. It can take more than 10 years for clear symptoms of arsenicosis to appear.
The Arsenic Test Kit is an easy to use kit for testing arsenic levels in water.
It is equipped with chemical reagents, glass and plastic ware, safety equipment and a detailed instruction manual.
The arsenic testing procedure detects Arsenic by converting all species of Arsenic to arsine gas, which produces a yellow to brown color on a test strip. Sulphide interference upto 2 ppm is effectively removed before the arsine generation step.
The arsenic test strip is then compared to colors on a colour chart to determine the arsenic concentration.
The results are obtained in 15 minutes
Arsenic levels upto 0.5 ppm (500 ppb) can be shown with this kit.
The Arsenic Test Kits contain enough material to conduct 100 arsenic tests.
