Estimated cost of Bio gas plant
I am using bio-gas since last 4 yrs.
The cost depends on the size of plant. If you have 4 cows than 4Cu/m size is enough. This can produce about 400-600 gms gas per day. This gas can directly be burn in burners but be careful your domestic gas burner is not useful. U have to change Jet of it. The Jet size is bigger than conventional gas burners. As far as lighting arrangements are concerned, You have to install lighting burners at desired locations. These produce heat which is irritating in summer season, so u can purchase gas generator to produce electricity. gas filling compressor are also available in market which can compress bio gas into gas cylinders but don't try this without proper training. The basic cost of the plant is arount Rs.25,000. Cost of generator and compressor are exclusive.
You can get back the invested money within 2 yrs. by using biogas for cooking, lighting and marketing bio fertilizer.
