The sandalwood cultivation is a familier and very crazy among all farmers.If anybody explain the sandalwood cultivation the farmers take big calculater for calculating the yield.But the sandalwood cultivation is very difficult to do.Because the major setback and taskfore are in sandalwood cultivation is security of the sandalwood plants as well as trees.First up all the farmer himself knowabout the sandalwood cultivation.This is a longterm cultivation that everybody knows.So if a farmer have five acres land he will do the sandalwood cultivation in five acres.Its a foolish one.So i request all the farmers kindly do the cultivation in waste land or unutlised land.if any body have no wasteland or unutilised land kindly allot minimum one or two acres.Remaining area of the land will be used for annuals crops like vegetables,flowers,cereals and etc.So i kindly request the farmers dnt depend on one type of cultivation .they will opt for mixture farming like longterm cultvation ,short term cultivation and midterm cultivation.Normaly the red soil is very suitable for sandalwood cultivation some nominal and moderate type of irrigation will be required.The vital role of the farmer in sandalwood cultivation will be selection of the seedlings.
