Hello sir sandal wood is parasite that means sandal need host to grow so you can chose some companian as intercrop like amla, drum stick, early days like horse gramm and red gramm.
sandal is spaced at 5 mt X 5 mts inbetween you can grow amla which also get some revenure after 15 years plants will be ready to horvest even state departmet like in karnataka(MSIL-Mysore sandal sales and international ltd) makes buy back arrangement of 1 crore/ac, not much maintancence no pest and disease as such.
