Where as even after 35 years Red sanders is not getting the actual quality of full red coloured heart wood as it is endemic to Kadapa district. Many places it was grown. But in some places only, red gravelly, bouldary soils this tree is getting some red colour heartwood. If we prefer Sandalwood demand is more and it can be grown in Red,Black etc.(except in saline soils). Only the threat is theft. If that can be tackled our aim of more income in a particular area can be achieved.
