Rabbit and Emu farming

Dear Rabbit/EMU farmers,

I own 6 acre of Agri Land near Nagpur ,Maharastra.I want to do Rabbit farming and Emu farming on it.I shall initially need 5 unit of Rabbit and one pair of EMU, I will study the animals for three month than I will again get 3 unit of Rabbit and one more pair EMU.

Is there some farmer nearby Nagpur who can supply me this stock.

Dear Shivaji Khond,

How much pair you need to start with?
For new EMU farmer high cost per pair is constraint,even then he purchase (for example) 10 pair in starting , mortality factor (if emu bird dies within some time ) farmer shall be nowhere,My idea is that first start with one or two pair ,study the birds behaviour for three month , then again purchase four pair or more depending on your funds

Farm training is must before entering the business,

Emu farming need high investment in the starting , you have to wait for two year for income generation.Rabbit farming also need high initial investment because unit (7 female rabbit and 3 male rabbit) cost around 18000-25000/- Rs.Min 10 unit are required to start,rabbit mutiply very fast.
