Agriculture dept knows nothing about purchase of land, not even 10 % information is possible why Aswini is giving wrong directions.

Purchasing land for this person is quite difficult legally.
Best way is wait for the new policy say about 6 months then look at the idea.

Your wife can purchase land if she is already having land in her name. If not she can get some land from her parents and then she can purchase on her own.
