The potato farmers are going to be in serious problem this year due to high level of stocks in the cold storages and crashing prices. For sustainable production of potato,one should not rely on fresh market alone and processing into value added products must be considered.Potao flakes is a very good option
for preserving and value addition.The domestic demand is increasing and competition is limited with no unit in Gujarat so far.
The international prices for potato flakes this year have been very good and a large quantity has been exported. I know this industry very well and can help
