Pest control in pomegranate

Hope you ask for disease/pest control.
1. Water requirement for Spraying medicines on the plants for an acre.

Soil drenching pesticide with 5 litre water/tree is recommended.
Spray: Usually 400 l/acre with rocker sprayer, when infection observed in the field.

2. What should be schedule for spraying medicines for disease control.

Carbendazim 2g/ml in 5liter water/tree.
After two or three months apply trichogramma 35g/tree, neem cake, Farm yard manure will help to reduce severity of infection.

For pest spray monocrotophos etc at 40ml/10litre in spray water.

3. What spraying system to use for water based medicines.

Soil drenching.
Rocker sprayer for big shrubs.

4. Precautions to be taken while spraying medicines.
Avoid spraying opposite to wind directions.
It is advisible to wear personal protective equipments like mask, and don't re use the mask.

5. Any more suggestions if you can give for spraying disease control medicines.

For disease control soil drenching of fungicide is the best option. Application of neem cake is beneficial.

Hi,
We can provide you complete guidance on pomegranate management by making regular visits from time to time. You should avoid spending heavy amounts on costly inputs and make use of environment and plant friendly inputs.

Dear Kirti S,

Plantations are in Gujarat, Kutch area.

These are regular Dholka plants.

Drip irrigation is generally used for the whole farm.

hello sir

Cercospora Fruit Spot
Two to three spraying at 15 days interval of Dithane M-45 or Captan @ 2.5 g in
one litre of water after fruit formation gives good control of the disease.

Fruit Rot
The disease can be controlled by spraying of Bavistin (0.5%), Dithane M-45
(0.25%) or Dithane Z-78 (0.25%) at an interval of 10-15 days from the onset of
flowering.

Leaf Spot or Blight
Spraying of Topsin-M (0.1%), Sulfex (0.03%), Difolatan (0.2%) or Dithane M-45 (0.3%) at 15 days interval gives good control of the disease.

Alternaria Fruit Spot
all the affected fruits should be collected and destroyed. Spraying Dithane M-
45 (0.25%) or Captaf (0.25%) effectively controls the disease.
