Papaya Vs Banana

Dear All,
Need a clarifications on below questions:

Which one do you recommend for better earnings (Banana or Papaya) in one Acre of land assuming good water resources and proper care is taken for both crops in terms of better returns in a year/Acre of land.

PS: The field is located near to Mysore, Karnataka

Also welcome to suggest any other farming option which yields more profit than Papaya and Banana in 1 acre/Year

Hi,

Why dont you try short term crops??

For example: In my case, i am trying below pattern.

July-Aug- Sep (Ladies finger)
Oct-Nov- Dec( Black gram/green gram)
Jan- Feb-mar(Watermelon or soyabean)

Reg. your question, i think Papaya will be good as the investment is kind of less comparing the banana...

Dear experts,
Please provide ideas for farming in land of 5 acres close to Mysore, Karnataka( having pumpset for water resource). What are the best option available to start the farming ? Please throw some light on it.

PS: I am new to this farming but very much interested to dedicate time and effort personally and also spend initial amount on farming say up to 5-7 lakhs .
