Orchids prefer humid climate and more rain fall. Karnataka area , kerala area very much suitale for orchids. Dendrobiums, coelogyne, are the epiphytic orchids which will be grown with some hanging support or stands .During summer months fine sprinklers support is required. Some places shade net is required to get better results. Some growers , IIHR - bangalore, TBGRI - peechi palode may be visited.Planting materials in india itself. Some people import from south east. 10 years back a nice orchid commercial cultivation happened near Chengulput (Chennai). commercial
