nutmeg cultivation

I have planted 100 nutmeg plants .
All are budded plants and as such they will bear fruit without the help of male plants.
Recently a friend of mine said even budded plants need male plants among them to facilitate pollination
Is my friend correct ?
If yes -
(1) how do I identify the male plant ?
(2) Is there any male to female proportion of plants to be planted ?

My understanding after reading the above articles, you don't have to worry about male trees if you have gone for grafts/budded materials. The issue occurs only in plants that has grown from seeds.
