Hello sir,
I just want get information and process regarding plantation of sangwan tree.
Will you please give me all information about this..

Sagwan (Teak)Plantation can be done across India. It responds well in/for..............

1. Scientific name: Techtona grandis. Widely its called as Teak Wood Tree
2. Red soils (Clayey black soils are not preferable. Growth may be stunted or slow in such soils)
3. It grows well in deep soils. In shallow soils its not advisable. If your soils are not deeper dont go for Sagwan
4. Optimum density for one acre is 250 to 300 plants. Dont go for more than this numbers. If you put more plants, growth will stunt after 2 -3 years.
5. Dont opt putting more plants and harvesting part of them later. Just stick to 250 - 300 plants. Dont carry away by the false recommendations.
6. Opt either Tissue Culture plants or Root Stock Plants. Dont prefer seedlings.
7. Sagwan-Teak will mature only after 20 years. Not before that.
8. Depending upon the straightness, girth and structure of the plant buyers will pay you. Its just per tree basis payment.
9. No one will pay you on Cubic feet basis. Please note it.
10. You can expect 1/5th of Cubic feet market price.
11. On an average a well grown tree can fetch you Rs.10,000/- - Rs.20,000/-. Not more than that.
