dear friends,
i have a premises with a long running compound wall made of granite stones.

Since i make use of every part of my premises to grow useful plants i wanted TO PLANT SOME IVY CREEPER VARIETY (that clings to the wall with its root as it spreads & climbs on the wall). On my search i found that there was a variety available called Ficus that has only leaf & it does not have any fruit or flower bearing on it.

so friends, kindly help me with the info of any type of IVY CREEPERS THAT STICKS & CLIMBS ON THE WALL, that has some sort of medicinal value, or fruit or flower bearing, for a tropical climatic place like Erode in tamil nadu,(24 Degree Min in winter & 34 degree max in summer)

regards,
senthil

Ficus pumila

Creeping fig Ficus pumila is commonly available at Kerala and Karnataka, it also produces fruit. It can be collected from nurseries . Thunbergia species, patrea, Vallaris, Bignonia, Jasmin are also nice to near wall with little support.
