Hello,
I am an engineer by profession and have deep inclination towards our Sanatan Sanskriti, values and traditions. From last few years I was independently doing some research on internet to understand the difference between our Desi Gaumata and other cows/buffalo and now after almost 2 years I can say that original breed of our Gaumata must be rehabilitated/reestablished. The ways of Gau palan our Shastra's have mentioned are the best methods for a healthy society and healthy Gaumata. My independent study is only enough to make me ready to do something in this field but its does not provides me the enough skills and knowledge to start a Gaushala therefore I need some more help to learn key aspects of Gaupalan and would also need some guidance to buy original Desi Gaumata of Gir or Sahiwal etc. breed, whichever is best for North Indian climate conditions.
My only aim is not to do this as business, I also strongly wish to help in breeding our Gaumata to reestablish the original breeds again in India, I wish I could see our Gaumatas in every rural households and the awareness of importance of our Desi Gaumata in every urban household, I wish that people again start valuing our own breeds and not foreign breads, they understand the difference between A1 and A2 milk etc. etc. in my lifetime.
Can someone pls share your valuable thoughts and guide us, how to setup everything and what I need to do to gain real time experience. Also can I get some kind of training under some authentic Gaushala which are aligned with my thought process, if someone can please share the schedule and cost for the same, that would be a great help.
I also would request if someone can tell me how much a good Desi Gir cow which has a daily milk production of around 20 liters would cost?
Initially I am planning to start with 4 cows.
Regards,
Himanshu
