Need guidance for cultivation of red sandalwood in Andhra Pradesh

Currently I am self employed. I am much interested in agriculture and want to start cultivation of red sandalwood. Regarding the same I have some queries.
1) is cultivation of red sandalwood is legal in Andhra Pradesh?
2) best region suitable for cultivation?
