hello users
i m interested in the cultivation of safed musli in orissa baudh district
can anyone tell me what is the market demand for safed musli in present scenario and is it profitable to grow it... after searching the net i m skeptical about the claims regarding musli demand made on different sites

Musli demand is always there.The only thing that one has to keep in mind is:
1. Its labour intensive
2. Peeling is difficult operation.
3.Lot of organic manure should be applied for optimum yield.
4. Start with small area 1/2 acre or so.
5. Quality should be good (white) by ensuring quick peeling and drying.
6. Planting is getting late.

i m plannintg to start in next year only... can you also tell me about the economy involved in it.my plan is to start it on 5 acres initially....also suggest me from where i can get good quality planting material...
