I am very much interested in starting mushroom cultivation on a small scale. Actually i am put up at chennai. I would like to start mushroom cultivation in chennai or near palakkad. Please can anyone guide me or help in this regards. I am looking for advice from experienced people in this field who can guide me in procuring mushroom seeds, or producing mushroom seeds and cultivating and also help in selling the produce. If anyone can guide me. Please do contact me or reply back.

Dear Sir

Mushroom cultivation depends on the demand ur area has and for which mushroom. Big hotels prefer button mushrooms, morels (the costliest mushroom) shitake, and in some extents oyester mushrooms.

before u start on any new project, its best u gain sufficient knowledge about it, TNAU coimbatore, mushroom dept, conducts class every month ( not sure if the date is 6th or 7th ) its a one day program, where they teach u theory and practical guide to starting oyster and milky mushroom, you can attend that first, the charge is Rs 150 only, any other information u need u can send a private message
