HI

Caralluma fimbriata is a succulent plant in the family Apocynaceae. It has been eaten in rural India for centuries, raw, as a vegetable with spices, or preserved in chutneys and pickles, and is often found as a roadside shrub or boundary marker. For cultivation details, contact the medicinal plants department, they may have some details

In Caralluma 3 species are there; all are used for the same purpose. Commonly used one is Caralluma attennuata and Caralluma umbellata, It is cactus like succulent herb, once present commonly , now became less common because several tons of this plant is being collected for medicinal use. it is considered as best medicine for cholesterol management and in arthritis. Some places it is being cultivated. Please contact me if you want the plant. Greenchem a bangalore based co is promoting the cultivation of this herb.
