Your responsibilities include the following -
1. You will be overall in charge of the farm including day to day operations.
2. Implement Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Integrated Farm Management (IFM) concepts.
3. Provide ideas on increasing crop and soil productivity, including implementing effective irrigation methods and water management techniques.
4. Identify nutritional deficiencies, pest concerns, flowering & fruiting issues, as applicable, in each unit of Mango, Moringa & Melia Dubia in order to prepare an action plan and execute remedies.
5. Identify and implement water management techniques across the farm, including water harvesting, run-off water channel creation & maintenance.
6. Prepare and execute routine farm activities including spraying, maintenance of irrigation systems, fertigation schedules.
7. Liaison with agriculture consultants/visiting subject experts and understand the schedules/guidance and implement it.
8. Co-ordinate with the local suppliers of farm inputs for timely delivery.
9. Liaison and coordinate efforts related to interacting with material suppliers, contractors & vendors.
10. Liaison with government departments including Electricity Board, Horticulture and Agriculture Engineering department for power restoration, guidance/subsidy & power equipment respectively.
11. Other miscellaneous works include electrical maintenance like fault finding, repair/ rectification and liaisoning with.
12. Build appropriate relationships and tactfully manage local and permanent farm labor for optimal output.
13. Introduce best practices and train farm labor on operation of farm equipment and systems including drip irrigation system, identification of deficiencies and pests.
14. Plan, develop and maintain vermi-compost pit sites for in-house consumption.
15. Provide ideas on cultivation and marketability of short term crops in local & wholesale markets.
16. Manage animal husbandry operations including daily schedules, vaccinations, develop customer pipeline, etc.
17. Keep a log of maintenance schedule of all farm equipment, including tractor, power weeder, brush cutter, sprayers etc.
18. Keep an inventory of all pesticides and fertilizers used in spraying and fertigation.
19. You will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle – from sowing, routine maintenance to harvest.
