Laws for buying land in Karnataka/Tamilnadu/Andra

Hi All,

What are the laws prevailing for buying agriculture land (for a person who is not from Agri back ground but intends to get in to farming sooner) in
1. Karnataka
2. Tamilnadu
3. Andra

your views and answers would be of immense help for me to take a decision.

my research

From my limited research:
1. Karnataka - only Agruculturist can buy a land
2. Tamilnadu -no such restriction
3. Andhra - no such restriction.

is my understanding right. please throw light.

As per my R and D.

In karnataka non-agriculture background people can buy only plantation land.
Viz Coffee, Tea etc

Yes we can...

One more input from Ibrahim (ibbu2009_786) is that in Karnataka Non Agriculturist can buy land by producing a certificate called Krishi certificate. But I need to analyse this option furthur for more details. Will keep you posted.
