Hi,
I am in a dilemma about this question of using human urine to boost my Banana produce.
A research scholar connected to UAS Hebbal Bangalore has made this breakthrough in this field and has proved beyond reason that the harvest as well as the size of the fruit can be doubled using human urine and has outsourced her requirement from a Govt. school in Dodballapur.
I know for sure about cattle manure but human urine plz.throw some light on this debatable issue without being judgemental.
Thxs very much

It sounds creepy, but it does seem to increase the yield. Since its equivalent to urea.

I have seen in person for coconut trees, a friend of mine have their farm near the drainage/sewage, he intentionally had it go through the land and he is getting amazing yield. Only problem is, the place stinks and isn't hygiene with all the mosquitoes.

There is even use for human waste compost when done right.

Here is an article
Using Human Urine As A Liquid Fertilizer

I would say go for it ;), its ethical as long as you follow proper guidelines like not using it before harvest

Human urine as manure.

Natural farming technique as advocated by Mr. Subash Palekar advices to use cow urine as well as human urine for all plants. Please read his books on Zero budget natural farming.

Actually speaking it depends on concentration....if you add more urine (all type) your plants will die because of sodium. (Coconut may survive but others will sure die). If the concentration is less then it may be treated by plants as water impurity....some trace elements may get absorbed but the % is too small to double the crop size. Banana depends of potassium and calcium to develop it's fruit and no urine will have it in such high concentration. This is what science says of course there are others who believe in miracles of organic etc may agree right away.

Thxs Mr.Atul but plz clarify

One thing though urine might not all be from the same source [diabetics included] how do we test to know the concentration.
Wont it lead to another 'Mad Cow' syndrome if all the urine is not absorbed by the soil and human excreta contains the highest amount of bacteria.
