Information required on sandalwood plantation and legal formalities

Hello,

I am planning to grow sandalwood plants in my farm, please give me the information on the legal formalities, i should do before planting.

From my childwood i have heard that we need to seek permission or license from government for growing and selling sandalwood, so please give me some inforamtion on the same.

You dont need to take license of growing sandal wood.
But you will must do the register in forest office that you will planted no. of plants of sandal and when you want to cut this plant then you will need presence of officer of forest.

Means in the presence of officer you will cut this plant. There is nominal 20/- Rs. Charge is applicable for per plant. This information is with me.

And White sandal wood plant is very costly so choose only white sandal wood plant, don;t choose wrong plant. I am already done plantation of 50 Nos. plants. in area 1500 Sq. Ft. area

How to do Plantation

In 8ft x 8 ft you will do plantation. In 1 Acre you will do 500 Nos plants.

After 8 to 10 years you will get return of this plant.

Today Market rate is Rs. 2000- 6000/kg Depends on oil content in Wood.
