Information about Phule triveni breed (Dairy Farming)

Hello Farmers,

can anyone share the details about Phule triveni breed. i have read its a crossbreed of Holstein Friesian, Jersey and Gir breeds i.e. 50+25+25.

Hi,

Phule triveni,breed of cow is developed by Mahatma Phule Krishi vidyapeeth,Rahuri,Dist-Ahmednagar, Maharashtra.This breed consists of Holestian friesean,Jersey and Gir combinations.It is cross bred and has average milk production of 3000 to 3500 litre per lactation with 3.8 to 4.2 % fat in milk.However study is going on this breed and trial is going on.Straws of frozen semen are availbale for breeding at Cattle and Buffalo breeding research centre at MPKV,Rahuri.
