Hi girish,

What do you mean by readymade market? You will be more profitable if you do your own marketing. If you want a buy back guarantee then it is available for Rs. 40 per kg for class 1 peppers. Normally you may fetch anywhere between Rs. 25 to Rs. 80 per kg depending on market influx in open market, so it's your choice.

You can get started with 1/2 acre, should cost you about 20 -15 lakh with 8000 plants and 48 ton yield. 20 -25 lakh includes the capital expenses which should be spread over 5 years.

Hi Venkatesh,

Please provide your e-mail so I can send you the 1 acre costing. Subsidy is 25% of the project or 50 lakh which ever is lower by NHB. Your state may give you some more subsidy. Marketing options are many including local mandi, mentro markets such as Delhi Mumbai Banglore etc. Export market is also approachable if you can grow the required quantity.
We have standard of 2 people per 1000 sq. mt and 1 or 2 supervisors would do for 5 acre project.

Though we started it as a floriculture venture, yet we wish to diversify into Hydroponics ... we are a group of Four Venturers having an installed (soon to be) capacity measuring more than 10,000 Sq. mtrs. in polyhouses in District Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
