How profitable is EMU?

Hi all Emu breeders,

Please let me know how profitable is emu farming.

Just curious,
I see a lot people asking and a lot selling, where are these birds going, i know for the price it sells, we cannot sell the meat as its not profitable here in india.

Is someone in india exporting these birds as live stock, or are they exporting the meat. What's the true pics.

The reason for me asking this? is i don't see where these birds moving out, not they are not slauterred for meat as well.

I intially wanted to start a EMU farm and all these question raised in my head and i dropped it. I'm a person who is also worried abt our fellow indians, we need to stay together and grow together to have a better economy.

For now i just want few birds in my farm for the fancy of it that i have birds which can look over my shoulders.

Please let me know, I hope people understand this as a curious guy who aked a earnest question and not to mock or hurt anyone.

One is at Hydrabad INDIAN EMU ASSOCIATION” and other is in
Mumbai “NATIONAL EMU ASSOCIATION” of Shri. Sami Tambatkar.
This two association working all India level.

emu farming is profitable

Hi

The main reason to grow the emu is for its oil which contains unsaturated fatty acids like (omega-3,omega -6 and omega-9 etc) which are very much use full for pharmacy companies to prepare drugs.

The second reason to do emu farming is for its meat which is a replacement of beef, which contains high protein an less cholesterol and good in taste.

The third reason to do emu farming is emu leather which is having very demand in the global market.

We are trying to establish the processing plant as soon as possible , which is benefit for all the farmers who are interested to start emu farming with good profits.
