sugar cane

Dear Mr Brabhu
We guess that u are getting 30-45tonne yield is per acre and definitely its low yield level. Your problem is not properly defined. Whether there is high wter table, soil sicknes, fertility or any other problem. If u make it clear, some thought can be given to the real problem.

To remove salt contents from land

Dear Mr. Prabhu,
Your land have been spoiled due to
1) Excessive use of water
2) Excessive use of chemical Fertilizers and Pesticides
3) Not changing the crop
The soil in your land have more salts than required, due to water and chemical fertilizers.
Now :
1) Stop cultivating Sugarcane immediately.
2) Make conical shape beds in sloppy direction, due to rain water the excess salt will dissolved and go down, let this water go out of you land.
3) Cultivate Dhencha Grass, Pulses , when it grows cut it and put back in the soil, Grow Glirisidia plants on the border , remove its leaves every 3 months and put it in the soil, use only Natural fertilizers and pesticides.
4) Use Hollow beds for cultivation.
5) Apply Azola , Blue / Green Algae/ sea weed to soil.
6) Get the water and soil tested.
It will take 2 to 3 years to get your soil normal.
