Guide on goat breed selection for Tamilnadu.

Hi,

I'm planning to start a goat farm with my brother later this year.
I was planning to cross breed Jamunapari with tellicherry.

After doing some rough analysis, looks like local butcher or slaughter house are taking only less weight goats.
When we told them about tellicherry they are not aware and when we said it will be 35kgs, they said people will not like it.
My question is is there a market for tellicherry in tamilnadu, to be more specific in chennai.
Is there anyone who is able to sell this breed for meat purpose on a large scale without any issues.

Keep the goats which the locals prefer. There are many varieties of breeds unique to TN and they are un-named breeds which we call as desi breeds.
