Guidance to start olive production in Bihar.

Hi
I am thinking for olive farming in Munger district Bihar. Is environment and land suitable for it here? What will be initial cost for starting in 2 acres including subsidies if it is there and market after production. I want the detailed guidance regarding it if anyone can help ?

HI.

Forget about Olive farming in your region. Indian climatic conditions are not suitable for olive cultivation. Dont waste your time and money on this. At present in Rajasthan its under testing stage. Govt of India, Govt of Rajasthan and Govt of Israel jointly doing this experimental project. So far, the results are not encouraging. Any how your Munger district climate is not at all suitable for Olive farming. Just forget it.
