Govt of India has started a scheme for construction of rural godowns in villages and towns by giving subsidy in construction.
I am a consultant based in Kolkata dealing in the Govt Scheme of 'Grameen Bhandaran Yojana'. . This is a economically viable scheme and rural entrepreneurs can take up this and reap profits

Location of Project : Outside Municipal Limits
Assistance under Scheme: Subsidy @ 15% to 33.33% of project cost
Mode of Release : Back Ended
Minimum Size : 100 MT
Owner's Contribution :20-25%
Bank Finance : 46.67-65%
Maximum Subsidy : 50 lakhs
Capacity Computation : 0.4 MT per Cu.m

godown Subsidy

Sir,
In terms of area, 5.5-6 sq ft is considered as storage space for 1 tonne of food grains

I charge Rs 5000 for preparation of project report for bank finance
And 2% of the estimated project cost for consultancy regarding claim of subsidy

Please correct maximum celling of subsidy Rs. 135.00 lacs to 300.00 lacs as per Nabard Mumbai vide circular dated 11/05/2012

We have a constructed area of 25000 sq feet comprising of two sheds,each 400x32 feet with sides open.Can this be converted to rural godowns,if yes pl inform us as to what modifications have to be made.Your terms are accepted.
