Salient features of Natural Farming are:
  1. Zero budget- near zero input costs which are recoverable.
  2. Increase in fertility of the soil year after year the Natural Way...
  3. A single desi (nati) cow is helpful in cultivating 30 acres of land. (It is indeed the Gomatha!)
  4. Water requirement is 20% of chemical/organic farming. Hence the requirement of power is minimal too :).
  5. Yield and Quality of produce is EXCELLENT (higher than chemical/organic farming) with better shelf life and hence fetches better price.
  6. Labour costs too are less as compared to chemical/organic farming methods.
  7. It is very scientific and replicates the forest ecosystem!
  8. Spiritual way of farming and is based on our great age-old and time tested vedic principles
Shri Subhash Palekarji would himself lecture in detail in HINDI/ENGLISH on the Concepts, Principles and Practices of Natural Farming and cultivation of various crops the Natural way which is translated 'ONLINE' into the local language- MALAYALAM/ TAMIL/ TELUGU. You would also get to hear to the experiences of successful farmers using these techniques for some time now.

Please...please...please...don't letgo of this opportunity!
Participate and benefit from the noble movement that Shri Palekarji has taken up!

Warm regards,
'ramsai'

Dear Ramsai,

thanks for posting the message on the forthcoming lectures on natural farming. I am very much interested in it. However, I am based at Lucknow, UP and you will appreciate that I cannot travel all the way to south. How can I benefit out of it. Is there any way where lectures CDs can be available at a price?
what is the mobile number/address of the Palekarji?

Please respond positively. You may write to me also or dial me otherwise please give me your mobile no and I shall call you.

ramsai,
Better to post on farmnest/forum and post the link here without the http part. This thread certainly needs sharing of contact details. Thanks.

Dear friends,

This knowledge is the need of the hour and I am sure you would agree after you attend the workshop.
Please 'google' for "zero budget natural farming" and you would get to Palekarji's website where you will get more information on the subject and his contact details. Palekarji freely gives his phone number to one and all and answers all the calls when he is not busy lecturing or in any seminar. Please talk to him and get to know about his philosophy and program.

Warm regards,
'ramsai'

To the MODERATOR: While I greatly appreciate and immensely thank you for relenting to my requests of not deleting the contact details of the organizers on multiple occasions, it would have been great to retain the links relating to these events which are done entirely with a service motive (to the farmers). Palekarji himself doesnt charge a paisa for his time on the workshops and he would have condcuted few thousands in the past few years. That could be your bit of contribution to the farming community and the Nation. Thanks again.

Karnataka is a trail blazer in this movement and lot of workshops do happen though not in Bangalore.
Please google for 'zero budget natural farming' and you could get to Palekarji's website from where you can get his contact details. You could speak with him to know about his programs in Bangalore. He would be in Bangalore in the first week of January 2011 when you can try and meet him.

Warm regards,
'ramsai'

I would suggest you choose a workshop close to where you live (or close to your farm).
Boarding and Lodging are organized (and are simple) and the fee for a 4 day workshop would be around Rs. 500 (pls check with the organizers for the exact amount) which includes boarding and lodging.

Please google for "Subhash Palekar" to get his contact numbers and discuss about the forthcoming workshops near your area. (I could post here but those are being deleted by the moderator).

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Warm regards,
'ramsai'

Hello,
The only pre-requisites for this are your 'enthusiasm' and 'zeal'. I believe you have chosen a great profession. please make sure you attend a four day workshop and speak with Palekarji for guidance.
Palekarji is available on phone all the time. He may not answer the call when he is in the workshop....

Warm regards,
'ramsai'
