Very difficult option

For earning Rs. 100,000, one must sell 200 goats per month.

For being able to sell 200 goats, one must maintain 1200 goats in his farm which is a herculean task.

Why mislead farmers with unrealistic figures.

Instead keep 30 cows and earn 100,000 per month.

Easy to maintain and easy to sell milk.

Wake up friends and think wisely.

Hello Mahesh ji,

As per nabard scheme 500 goats for breeding ... then if you are stating 500 goats with in 8 months you may have 1000 kids. 1:1 sex ratio. for next six months time 500 Male goats ready for selling

simple 500X30kgX350 = 5250000 your selling

Now calculate

looks very good but need detail explanation on calculation

its not look feasible

but if I will take 12 kg @ 200/per kg = 2400 per goat for a year old goat

2400 * 500 = 12,00, 000/year

1 lac per month

Now consider feeding cost and take the realistic profit.

What we are recommending for Goat farming,
all hi breeds
with in 5 months all goats reach not less 20 Kgs.

Stall fed goats are less mortality.
faster weight gainers

which "hi breed" are you referring to??

are you suggesting farming OR opening a retail shop??
at retail shops you get the rate of 350!

Also 30kgs meat OR live body weight??
wastages in any breed are 40-50% ie a 30kg goat will give 15-18kgs of meat!!

100000 PER MONTH!!!
are you talking about gross receipts or net profit??

For stall fed the cost of constructing the sed cannot be ignored!!

Govt subsidy of 8lac??
(maybe for SCST category) for general category its 6.25lac iirc.

Your breeding pattern is only possible on paper...in reality by the time you get the goats, identify goats in heat, mating, gestation....etc etc its always advisable to consider you wont be able to sell any goats in the first year..
(assuming you sell at the age of 1year min..


Rather than putting a heading like "100000 per month", its better you explain how its going to work out...
