i want to start dairy farm.plz give me some details about dairy farm.i am from mangalore(karnataka).where can i buy cows or buffaloes.what r all basic needs are required? i have 2acre land.

you need good fodder growing land with adequate good water.you can source cows from kaverippattinam near krishnagiri -hosur route. beware of brokers.take someone who knows how to select cows. a fat cow may not give you good milk.
To start with, its better to keep cows, learn the art of dairy farming,slowly increase it gradually.You need a good cow shed with sides open,good ventilation, avoid overfeeding, for eg a cow giving 10 litres you need 400 gms of cattle feed(good feed from godrej/tata/goldmohur) per litre of milk ie; 4 kg and 2 kg for body maintenance.
In 2 acres of land you can keep max 20 cows.
