Dear Members,

Good Morning, I am based out of Dindigul, Tamilnadu holding 10 acres lease land for 5 years lease. I am started my dairy business with 10 cows and i am utilizing only 2 acres and planing to expand further. I would like to know what are all the other agri activities i can do to maximise the yield from my land. What are all the plants i can cultivate in this land. But i should get the yield with in 5 years.

Land Deatils:
10 acres land with 1 well.
Average rain fall area with maximum heat up to 40c.
Farmers cultivating Jowar (Cholam) in near by lands.

Expecting your expert advice to proceed furthere.

Thanks.

Dear Sir,
Before you thinking of allied products in leased land, Running dairy on leased land for 5 years is the first you focus. If lease may not continue, then what?
Any have, you can increase production of jowar or any other crop which fetch good returns to the extent of water and power availability. During this time, if you may intended to increase number of animals can also be considered.
You cannot utilise the land other then terms and conditions agreed in lease deed and hence sub lease the land may not be possible.

But importantly it is advisable for you to run cattle farming in own land for long terms profit and success.
Regards,
SWAMY
