Cash crop cultivation
Hi mami,
your intention of cultivating the cash crop is wise things.Before doing the cultivation kindly observe the marketing viablity.The bamboo and melia dubia are wonderful cash crops. But you dnt go for Stevia becoz its a purely intercrop cultivation .So its not suitable for our area.And also you may face much problems during harvest and marketing.Now a days the melia dubia is a wonderfull tree plantations i.e it can be used for timber purpose like making wooden furniture ,photo frames,plywood industries purpose and biomass project for extracting enegery.The calories from melia dubia is measured and observed as 5143 .For biomass purpose you can do plantations in the dimension close planting i,e 6'x4' .The duration of cultivation period is maximum 2 years.The yield from one by close planting method is minimum 40 to 50 tons.You can go for domestic and commericial melia dunbia plantations the spacing will be differed from the close planting.i.e 10'x10'.The duration of cultivation period is minimum 6 to 7 years onwards.The yield by this dimension is one per tree .we can accomadate nearly 450 to 500 seedlings.As per bamboo cultivation bambosa beema, thornless bamboo valgaris are good varieties.But the yield will begins on completion of 4 th years .One acre will requires nearly 270 slips for plantations.In seletion of the slips/saplings is very important as per bamboo concern.So you go for tissue culture propagated bamboo variety .its gives stipulated yields in ver short periods.
