Convert my barren land to farm land successfully

Hello All,

I am Santhana krishnan from Trichy.I am owning around 20 to 25 acres of land in Trichy - Pudukottai Road.Suriyur village.Three generations before my forfatherS was doing agriculture over there.After that.. there was no agriculture was done. I am working in chennai now.

I have planned to convert this barren land to farm land by planting trees.

First step is to clean and divide the lands into buds and then planned for trees.

Growing trees will make the soil better and prevent soil erosion and help the environment.

Where I can get free saplings and what are all the saplings I go with it ?

Any NGO or government can help me ?

All these depend upon on rain waters only, no seperate borewell are there in my land.

Please give your valuable suggestions and contacts for doing this process successfully.

If you are able to take care of the plants for the first 2-3 years, then they can survive on rain water itself.

What is that you are planning to achieve in this land? This information will help to provide better advice.
