I'm from UP, We have planned to cultivare coleus forhkohlii in 5 acres
initially. I read ur post in agriculturalinformation. i need ur help
to grow in this cultivation.

1- with whom we want to contact for this seed ??
2- With whom we want to sell after harvest?
3 - Which kind of fertilizers we want to use?
4- How many KG we can cultivate in 2 acres?
5. What all are the precautions for coleus cultivation?

Coleus planting material is available at Salem and Thiruvannamalai area of Tamil Nadu, some parts of Andhra, Karnataka and Maharashtra also it is cultivated. stem cuttings needs to be planted. 20000 cuttings are required for one acre. The herb needs 6 months time to produce good quality root. Slopy soil , hot climate is required for coleus. It is cultivated during July august and harvested during January- february. Herbal extraction companies based on Delhi, Bangalore, Hydrabad and Vijayawada are purchasing the dried coleus root and stem.
