Caution - Sale of cheap land in TN- new matter

this is in continuantion to my earlier post, would like to alert fellow members that below article appeared in The Hindu Tamilandu"

those government allotted land can not be transferred legally for a specific period. so please double sure the origin of land we are buying in the attraction of cheap land.

I request more feed backs/reviews from members who have real experience in buying cheap land in Tamilandu.

Hello Sir, This happens everywhere in INDIA. Not only panchami lands but also acres and hectares of temple lands. In India it is easy to grab temple lands, they wont touch church and mosque lands. we should help these under privileged people to come out of these problem. Governments one after the other announces lots of plans for these people. (Keeping them for VOTE BANK ONLY.) Even these people will also sell their lands for a premium price.

The best and simple rule to apply is to always try hard and find the seller (owner) itself and use the brokers only to get the range of the rates in the areas that you plan to buy. If one is really keen to invest his hard earned money then he would obviously pay multiple visits to the locality in which he plans to buy - one does the same thing when buying a flat/apartment.

Next is to get all copies of the documents and get a full title search done through a good lawyer and not go by the owner/broker confirmation to save that amount.
